The Department of English at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in English with expertise in Black Literature and Culture. Additional areas of expertise may include but are not limited to Black Studies, folklore studies, and US Southern studies. Teaching load is five courses per year. Candidates should be able to teach introductory and capstone courses, surveys in their area(s), upper-division classes, and graduate seminars. Candidates may find courses in the undergraduate Black Studies minor and/or work with the Ernest Gaines Center further avenues for teaching and research.
