Tenured Associate or Full Professor, British Romanticism

Yale University’s Department of English Language and Literature invites applications for a tenured associate or full professor in British Romanticism beginning July 1, 2024.

We are searching broadly for an outstanding scholar, critic, and teacher of British Romanticism who, in addition to teaching in the English department, will contribute to Yale’s broader profile in the arts and humanities. We particularly encourage applicants who work in poetry and poetics, the ecological humanities, public-facing criticism/humanities, political and intellectual history, studies of race and empire, and/or literary theory and philosophy.

Please submit a letter of application, describing your research and teaching, and your full curriculum vitae to http://apply.interfolio.com/120086 directed to search committee chair Professor Jonathan Kramnick. Review of applications will begin March 1, 2023.

Yale University is an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity employer. Yale values diversity among its students, staff, and faculty and strongly welcomes applications from women, persons with disabilities, protected veterans, and underrepresented minorities.
