Lecturer in Spanish

The Stanford Language Center invites applications for a full-time three-year teaching appointment as Lecturer in Spanish beginning September 1, 2023. The position is renewable. Minimum qualifications are an MA in linguistics, applied linguistics, and/or Spanish language and literature, Ph.D. preferable. Applicants should have experience teaching a broad range of Spanish language courses at the college level and possess native or near-native fluency in Spanish with an excellent command of English; experience teaching Catalan is desirable. Preference is given to candidates familiar with standards-based instruction and ACTFL OPI and WPT principles, with tester/rater certifications in hand or in progress. The salary is competitive. The expected base pay range for this position is $78,048.00 - $87,390.00.
