The Department of French Literature, Thought, and Culture at New York University invites applications for a Visiting Clinical Assistant Professor (non-tenure-track) in French. This is a one-year teaching position that entails the teaching of three courses per semester in the Language Program.  Language Program courses range from Elementary French to a variety of advanced-level French for Specific Purposes courses.  The appointment will begin on September 1, 2023 pending administrative and budgetary approval.  In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $60,000.
 
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of effective teaching in a wide array of French language courses at the undergraduate level. A Ph.D. in French language, literature, or a related field is preferred, although candidates with another appropriate terminal degree may apply.
