Position Description
The Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at Washington University in St. Louis invites applications for two full-time lecturers in Spanish. Each appointment will begin in the fall semester of 2023 and run for one academic year, with the possibility of renewal. Classes begin in August. PhD in Spanish required. We seek a colleague whose field of expertise will complement our faculty’s existing strengths. The successful candidate will teach at all levels of the Spanish language program, possibly including upper-level topics courses of their own design, and will be assigned departmental service that may include coordinating teams of faculty and graduate instructors. The teaching load is typically six courses per year, plus a service component.
