The Department of International Languages & Cultures at St. Mary’s College of Maryland is accepting applications for the position of Visiting Assistant Professor of French and Gender Studies, beginning August 2023. Teaching responsibilities will include three courses per semester: two in French language at the elementary and intermediate levels, and the introductory Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies course taught in English.
Qualifications: Applicants must have a Ph.D. in French and/or Francophone Studies with specialization in any field plus interdisciplinary expertise in Gender Studies and be committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching. An interest in attracting and retaining students from underrepresented groups is desirable. The successful candidate must produce the necessary documentation to legally work in the U.S. upon hire.
