Non-continuing One-Year Full-Time Leave Replacement
Albion College invites applications for the Visiting Assistant Professor of German position. We are especially interested in candidates who will contribute to a campus climate that supports equity, diversity, and belonging.
We are looking for a full-time, one-year leave replacement member, to begin August 2023, who can teach students who seek to be proficient in the German language, while acquiring an understanding of the cultures, histories, and literatures of German-speaking countries. The successful candidate will be capable of teaching a full range of language, literature, and culture courses.
Candidates must have native or near native fluency in German and English, demonstrated excellence in teaching and a willingness and ability to teach all levels of language and culture. The successful candidate will have a 3/3 teaching load and is expected to participate in co-curricular departmental activities during the semester, guide and assist advanced German majors in thesis work, and actively work to retain current students in the German program.
