Assistant Teaching Professor in Writing Program

WAKE FOREST UNIVERSITY’s Writing Program invites applications for two permanent, full-time, non-tenure-track Assistant Teaching Professors to join our growing community of writers and teachers, whose expertise ranges across disciplines. Applicants should be committed to providing high-quality teaching in first-year writing, as well as in our interdisciplinary writing minor. A Ph.D. in writing studies or related field is preferred, but we welcome applications from professional and scholarly writers across disciplines with experience developing and teaching first-year writing and, ideally, other academic writing courses. Teaching load is 3/3; most courses are first-year writing seminars (capped at 16). 

These positions include a promotion ladder to Associate and Full Teaching Professor, leadership opportunities, and funding for travel and course development.
