Full-Time Faculty Position St. Louis University Madrid Campus

Position Description: Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service, invites applications for a full-time position in English Literature with a focus in Modernism and a secondary interest in Creative Writing at the Madrid Campus. The position will begin in September of 2023 or January of 2024. Teaching includes courses in Academic Writing, Creative Writing, and a broad range of literature courses at the undergraduate levels with the potential to build graduate programs in the near future. The teaching load consist of three courses in both the Fall and in the Spring semesters. The candidate is also expected to carry out research, service, and some administrative tasks.
 

Requirements: Requirements include a Ph.D. in English with a focus on Modernism, and evidence of teaching and research excellence. Evidence of an active creative writing agenda is a plus. The terminal degree should be in hand before the start of the Spring 2024 semester.

The deadline for received applications is May 15, 2023. Initial shortlisted candidates will be notified in May and asked to have three letters of recommendation forwarded. They will be asked to submit samples of published work and teaching evaluations at that point.
