Writing Center Coordinator

Opening for a Writing Center Coordinator, beginning August 2023. Non-tenure track, 12-month position with benefits, annually renewable. Master’s or Ph.D. in English or Rhetoric required.

 

Working closely with the Director of Writing to develop the Writing Center in light of Institute Writing Program strategic objectives, the coordinator will manage the Center’s day-to-day operations and foster the development of peer and professional consultants. Opportunity also to teach Core Curriculum courses in composition and/or public speaking. The Writing Center, an academic support component of the Institute Writing Program, serves undergraduates and faculty across disciplines. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated record of teaching excellence, knowledge of writing center theory and practice, experience working as a writing consultant, and strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
