It seeks to graduate majors and minors with advanced communicative skills in speaking, reading, and writing, cultural knowledge of foreign countries, and a sophisticated understanding of the problems and promises that a globalized world presents. Spanish is among the most popular minor programs at the college, and has a longstanding community engagement program with the Spanish-speaking community in our area. The department also boasts of graduates who have won numerous prestigious fellowships, such as Fulbright.
