Visiting Lecturer

Visiting Lecturer in English at the University of North Texas

The Department of English at the University of North Texas, a Minority and Hispanic Serving Institution, invites applications for two visiting lecturer positions. These positions are full-time, come with a competitive salary, and include benefits. Responsibilities for the position include teaching four courses each semester in first-year writing to a diverse student population. The desired starting date is 21 August 2023. Successful candidates will join a diverse, collaborative, internationally recognized group of colleagues in the Department of English.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualified candidates will have an MA in English, Composition Studies, or an associated field. In addition, candidates should have demonstrated excellence in first-year writing instruction. 

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to applicants who have a PhD or MFA in English or related field, experience or expertise with developmental writing, experience or expertise with online teaching, and expertise with dual credit programs.
