The Department of English in the College of Arts & Sciences at Texas A&M University invites applications for five, full-time academic professional track (non-tenure) Lecturers in English (Rhetoric) for the 2023-2024 academic year, with possibility of renewal. The start date for this position is August 1, 2023; classes will begin on August 21, 2023.
The position requires a PhD in English or Rhetoric, with a specialization in rhetoric, writing, or technical/professional communication.
Lecturers hold non-tenured appointments with primary responsibility for teaching. The teaching load is 4-4 and will consist of undergraduate courses in professional/technical communication, rhetoric, and composition. The ideal candidate will have experience in
face-to-face and online instruction and a demonstrated commitment to using Open Educational Resources. Depending on departmental need, the successful applicant may also be assigned to teach courses in literary studies and film.

Qualifications: The position requires a PhD in English, Writing Studies, Rhetoric or a related field with a specialization in rhetoric, writing, or technical/professional communication and relevant teaching experience.
