Instructor of Italian

The School of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures (SLLC) at the University of Missouri-Columbia invites applications for one full-time, unranked, non-regular Instructor in Italian beginning in Fall 2023. This is a one-year position with possibility of annual renewals.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach Elementary Language level Italian courses across three levels of a language learning sequence.  Ability to teach and develop content courses in English, on topics related to Italian literature and/or culture is a plus.  Candidate should have demonstrated excellence in teaching Italian language courses at the university level, including the use of technology in the classroom, as well as familiarity with SLA and foreign language pedagogy.

Applicants should possess a minimum of a M.A. degree or equivalent in Italian or in a related field. Candidates will be evaluated on their highest degree obtained and their teaching experience.
