one-year full-time Lecturer - French

The Modern Languages and Literature Department at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington, USA, invites applications for a one-year, full-time non-tenure-track, fixed-term Lecturer in French language and literature, with a subspeciality in Italian language, for the fall 2023-spring 2024 academic year. Applications from candidates qualified to teach only French language and literature will be considered; preference will be given to applicants who can teach beginning Italian as well as lower and upper-division French language and literature. 

Teaching responsibilities include 24 credit annual course load. The successful candidate will be prepared to teach lower-division language (beginning and intermediate French and beginning Italian); transition courses from lower to upper-division French (advanced language, introduction to literature, film, or culture); and one or more upper-division French seminars based on the candidate’s area of specialization and suited to the undergraduate level.
