The Departments of Spanish and Portuguese and Mexican American and Latina/o Studies at The University of Texas at Austin invite applications for a tenure-track/tenured position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor to begin Fall of academic year 2024-2025. We seek a candidate with a broad humanistic scholarly program specializing in Central American and US Latina/o/x Studies. We seek a scholar who will be interested in working within two departments with strengths in interdisciplinary and intersectional approaches, social justice, and cultural, ethnic, and gender studies. Duties will include undergraduate and graduate teaching, research, and service to the department, college, and university.
