With a majority-minority student body and a growing number of first-generation and Pell-eligible students, Austin College fosters a culture of inclusion. We welcome applicants deeply committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion and eager to join a dynamic and collaborative department.
The position involves teaching introductory to upper-level undergraduate writing and literature courses for both majors and non-majors, as well as First-Year Seminars and January Terms. We invite candidates who prioritize innovative and inclusive teaching in a liberal arts environment and whose teaching, scholarship, and professional goals reflect the College’s liberal arts curriculum, including the new general degree requirements (Global Diversity; Systems of Power, Privilege, and Inequality) and the writing curriculum.
