Assistant Professor, Modern Chinese Literature and Culture

The Department of East Asian Studies invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in modern Chinese literature and culture from the late 19th century through the contemporary period. We are particularly interested in scholars pursuing interdisciplinary and transnational research. The successful candidate should have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research.

We seek faculty members who will create a climate that embraces excellence and diversity, with a strong commitment to teaching and mentoring that will enhance the work of the department and attract and retain a diverse student body. Ph.D. must be in hand or expected by July 1, 2024.
