Spelman College’s Department of English invites applications for tenure-track assistant professor in Rhetoric and Composition beginning August 2024. Must have a Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition or related fields with specialization in one or more of the following areas: digital media studies with a focus in writing; business and technical writing, journalism, digital humanities, and/or gaming studies. Teaching experience is required. Responsibilities include teaching a 3-3 load in the general education core, the English major, and the writing minor. Active department and college-level service is expected. Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, c.v., two letters of recommendation, writing sample, and teaching philosophy statement.
