The Department of Spanish and Portuguese
We seek a scholar of Latin American literature and culture of the 20th and 21st centuries with a focus on Indigenous Studies for a post-doctoral position. We would particularly welcome research that engages topics such as indigenous feminisms and epistemologies, political ecologies, sovereignty, language revitalization, and/or the convergence of race and indigeneity, and we encourage applications from scholars who work in collaboration with Indigenous communities. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching content courses in their specialty, as well as Spanish language courses, and will effectively incorporate equity and inclusion in their pedagogical practice. ABD candidates will be considered; however, they must have their degree in hand prior to August 2024.
