The Department of Romance Studies at Boston University seeks a full-time Lecturer in Spanish beginning July 1, 2024. Responsibilities include teaching and curricular development from beginning to advanced language and culture, including the ability to teach and coordinate multi-section language courses involving one or more of the following topics: translation, literature, film and media, performance, Spanish for the professions. Minimum requirements include an MA in Spanish, Second Language Acquisition, or a relevant field; demonstrated excellence in college-level teaching for at least three years; native or near-native proficiency in Spanish and English; and knowledge of current issues and methods in language teaching with film and media. The successful candidate will also demonstrate ability to integrate language and culture and contribute to curriculum development in a dynamic and collaborative language program.
