Advanced Assistant or Associate Professor in Latinx and/or Chicanx Literature and Culture

The Department of English at Emory University, Atlanta, GA, invites applications for an advanced assistant or associate professor (tenure-track or tenured) in Latinx and/or Chicanx Literature and Culture to begin in Fall 2024. A Ph.D. in these areas or a closely related field is required. Applicants for this position should present compelling evidence of excellence in research and teaching. Expertise in one or more of the following areas is desirable: Afro-Latinx literatures, other ethnic American literatures, digital humanities, disability studies, environmental studies, and the theories and politics of race and ethnicity. Candidates with a demonstrated record of working across departments, programs, and disciplines are of particular interest.  

The 2/2 per semester teaching load includes courses in undergraduate general education requirements, upper-level classes for majors, and graduate seminars.
