The Bi-College Department of German and German Studies at Bryn Mawr College and Haverford College invites applications for a full-time, continuing non-tenure-track (CNTT) position to begin August 1, 2024. The position is to be housed at Bryn Mawr College, with teaching responsibilities split between the two colleges. The successful candidate will teach German language, literature, and culture courses at all levels and will be expected to be part of developing and teaching a diverse and inclusive curriculum, including interdisciplinary programs and other college-wide initiatives. Expertise in Eighteenth- and Nineteenth-Century German literary and cultural studies is also desirable. Applicants must have native or near-native fluency in German and show a strong commitment to excellence in teaching. A Ph.D. in German is required by the start date.
The CNTT position has no research requirement but expects service at the college and departmental level.
