Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of English with specialization in American Literature from the beginnings to the American Civil War. Secondary specialization in Southern Literature or Women’s Literature is highly desirable. Additional desirable experience or skills could include teaching online and/or in distance learning environment. PhD in English by August 1, 2024. The successful candidate must also demonstrate interest and ability in teaching first-year writing courses. 4/4 teaching load per semester in addition to service and research/publication. The University of Tennessee at Martin has traditional tenure requirements in teaching, research, and service, with primary focus on quality teaching.
