The Department of English, Literature, and World Languages at Ferris State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position to teach journalism and other upper- and lower-level writing courses, including technical/professional writing and/or business writing, as appropriate to applicant’s qualifications. This position will begin in August 2024.
Ph.D. in journalism, English, rhetoric and composition, communication, digital content creation, or a related field required by August 1, 2024. Applicants must also have demonstrated effectiveness in teaching college-level writing.
Candidates with additional expertise in student media advising, multimedia content creation, web authoring, or digital publishing are especially encouraged to apply. Faculty in the Department of English, Literature, and World Languages typically teach general education writing courses as at least fifty percent of their 4/4 load.
