The department of Romance, German, and Slavic Languages and Literatures at The George Washington University invites applications for one full-time renewable, specialized, non-tenure accruing appointment at the rank of Teaching Instructor of Spanish language to begin as early as fall 2024 with an initial three-year appointment.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Will include but are not limited to, teaching seven (4/3) Spanish language courses per year, as well as participation in the development, maintenance, and implementation of curriculum and of assessment instruments.
Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must have at least an M.A. in Spanish pedagogy or Second language acquisition. Experience teaching Spanish language courses at the college level, native or near-native proficiency in both Spanish and English; demonstrated teaching excellence at different levels of Spanish language, as evidenced by evaluations, teaching assessments, letters of recommendation, etc.
