Position Announcement
Utah Valley University's Department of English and Literature invites applications for a tenure-track position in British Literature of the Long Eighteenth Century, to begin August 2024. The successful candidate for the position is expected to teach lower-division literature surveys in early British literature, upper-division courses in specialized field, literary theory courses, and first-year composition. Standard teaching load is 4/4 split between first-year composition and courses within the English and Literary Studies curriculum in a department that includes degree emphases in Writing Studies, Literary Studies, Creative Writing, and English Education. Opportunities for reassigned time include serving as writing program administrator or advisor of student journals. Faculty also have the opportunity to direct a summer London study abroad program.
