English, Technical Writing, Tenure-Track Faculty

The Department of English at Middle Tennessee State University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position (#123380) at the rank of assistant/associate professor of English Technical Writing. Start date for the position is August 1, 2020. Must have a terminal degree in Technical Writing, Technical Communication, Professional Communication, English, Rhetoric and Composition, or a closely related field by appointment date. Candidates with any of the following will receive special consideration: experience in writing-program administration; professional experience with technical writing/communication; demonstrated experience with or an interest in online education; research agendas that relate to matters of equity, inclusion, or sustainability.

 

The successful candidate will teach graduate-level and advanced undergraduate courses in technical writing and assist with the administration of MTSU’s General Education English Program. They will take a leadership role in expanding the writing curriculum and must maintain an active research agenda.
