The Department of English at Saint Mary’s University, on the unceded territory of the Mi’kmaq people, invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the field of Literature and Culture of the Black Atlantic with a start date of July 1, 2024. Preference will be given to Black scholars and Scholars of Colour. It is expected that the successful candidate will establish a rigorous research program in the field and contribute an appropriate level of service to the department, faculty, university, and community.

Experience and Education Requirements:
The successful candidate will hold a Ph. D or be near completion/defense date and have a demonstrated record of teaching effectiveness.
