Lecturer in Literature, Postcolonialism, and the Environment

The Department of English at Stanford University invites applications for a full time, benefits-eligible Lecturer position for the 2024-25 through 2025-26 academic years (2 years). The position my be renewable for another multiple year term.

Duties consist of teaching four courses across the academic year quarters (Autumn, Winter, Spring) in Literature, Postcolonialism, and the Environment, broadly defined, and not limited to any particular time period.

We are seeking a dynamic, engaging teacher who is committed to interdisciplinary approaches and creative pedagogy and who is able to relate to a diverse student population.

The position is 100% FTE, benefits-eligible. The post comes with an annual research budget of $3,000.

The expected base pay range for this position is $74,300-$87,160. Stanford University has provided a pay range representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for the position. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the qualifications of the selected candidate, budget availability, and internal equity.

Qualifications: PhD in a related field and teaching experience at the college or university level.
