The Department of English is seeking a Lecturer in English which will be a three-year, renewable full-time position. Responsibilities for the position include teaching four courses each semester and providing service to the department. This position includes a competitive salary and includes benefits.
Minimum qualifications: PhD in English, Composition Studies, or related field. Demonstrated excellence in first-year writing instruction. Preparedness to teach at an HSI and MSI institution. Preferred qualifications: Experience or expertise teaching developmental writing. Additional experience or expertise teaching literature, language arts, rhetoric and communication, and / or creative writing
The Department of English strives to promote a greater understanding of literature and culture; to add to literary tradition by fostering new works of poetry, fiction and nonfiction; to innovate in writing instruction; and to investigate the history of persuasive writing.
