Tenure-track assistant professor in medieval or early modern literature

The Literature program in the Department of English at the American University of Beirut invites applications for a tenure-track position in medieval or early modern literature at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning August 15, 2024. The teaching load is 2-2.

We aim to recruit outstanding scholars and teachers who can extend and deepen the department’s research profile and contribute excellent instruction and advising in the BA and MA programs in English Literature. The area of specialization is open, with scholars working on the Global Middle Ages or Global Renaissance especially encouraged to apply.

Applicants must have a PhD in English, Comparative Literature, or a closely related field by the time of appointment.
