One-Year Postdoctoral Fellowship in Poetics

The Bill and Carl Fox Center for Humanistic Inquiry

Emory University

The Fox Center for Humanistic Inquiry at Emory University is accepting applications for a one-year Postdoctoral Fellowship in Poetics for 2024-2025 on the theme of "Democracy: Past, Present, Future." The Fellowship is for 10 months (August 1, 2024 – May 31, 2025), and carries a stipend of $55,000, a research fund of $2000, and eligibility for a wide range of competitive benefits.  The Center invites applications from candidates who are eager to be part of a community of scholars engaged in a broad range of conversations in an interdisciplinary setting. The Fellowship funds an academic year of study, teaching, and academic residence at the Center. Funded by a Challenge Grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Fellowship highlights the importance of the ongoing critical, theoretical, and creative engagements with poetry across Emory University, as well as marking the emergence of the Robert W. Woodruff Library’s Stuart A. Rose Manuscripts, Archives, and Rare Books Library as a major center for research in poetry. The deadline for submission of completed applications is January 31, 2024. Announcements of awards will begin in mid-April. More information and application instructions are available from the Fox Center for Humanistic Inquiry at www.fchi.emory.edu.
