Visiting Positions in German

The Reed College German Department invites applications for two one-year visiting positions, to begin in the fall of 2024. One of the positions will be in film and media studies. For the other, the area of specialization can be any period after 1700, any specialization (including film and media studies).

The successful candidates will teach a broad range of language, literature, and film and media courses and advise senior theses. Candidates must have native or near-native fluency in German and the Ph.D. in hand or near completion. Above all, we seek candidates with a lively program of scholarship and a commitment to teaching excellence at the undergraduate level.
