Description
With the support of a National Endowment for the Humanities Challenge Grant, the Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies in the Keough School of Global Affairs at the University of Notre Dame invites applications for its faculty fellowship program. The NEH Keough-Naughton Fellowship will enable an outstanding scholar to continue his or her research while in residence in the Keough-Naughton Institute during the academic year 2024-2025. The Fellowship is open to Ph.D. scholars in any area of Irish Studies.
The NEH Keough-Naughton Fellow will participate in a periodic faculty seminar and present a paper on his or her research during the year. Apart from the seminar, the Fellow's only obligation will be to pursue his or her research. The Fellow will be fully integrated into the life of the Institute, with library privileges and access to the Institute's research tools and network.

Qualifications
Must have a Ph.D. before the start of the fellowship

Application Instructions
Applicants should submit a cover letter, a double-spaced narrative of no more than five pages describing their proposed research, indicating how it builds on existing scholarship, and suggesting how it will benefit from broader interdisciplinary studies, a curriculum vitae and three letters of reference upon request. All application materials must be submitted through the Interfolio/Notre Dame online application system by January 8, 2024. Announcement of the successful candidate will be made March 1, 2024.
