Allegheny College, a selective national liberal arts college, and the Department of World Languages & Cultures, invites applicants for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of French for the 2024-2025 academic year.
This one-year appointment provides coverage for a sabbatical leave. Area of specialization is open. Candidate will sustain a one-person French Minor program, so experience teaching French at all levels is required. Candidate must demonstrate ability and willingness to create engaging co curricular experiences in collaboration with a native-language teaching assistant. Native or near-native fluency in French and English and MA required, Ph.D. or A.B.D. preferred. Teaching load is 3 courses per semester.
