Allegheny College, a selective national liberal arts college, and the Department of World Languages & Cultures, invites applicants for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor of German, to provide coverage for a sabbatical leave. Candidate will oversee a one-person German Minor Program.
Area of specialization is open. In addition to successful teaching of German at the beginning and intermediate levels, candidates must demonstrate the ability to co-teach an upper-level course in literature and culture. Ideal candidates will also be able to teach Beginning Level French. Native or near-native fluency in German and English and MA required, Ph.D. or A.B.D. preferred. Teaching load is 3 courses per semester.
