Robert A. Oden, Jr. Postdoctoral Fellow for Innovation in the Liberal Arts

The Carleton College English Department seeks qualified candidates for a two-year position as Robert A. Oden, Jr. Postdoctoral Fellow for Innovation in the Liberal Arts, to begin September 1, 2024. We seek candidates with a focus on literature in English before 1900, and are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in environmental humanities, indigenous studies, and/or queer studies. The candidate must have a Ph.D. in hand (received less than five years ago) by the start-date of the position. The appointment involves half-time research and writing, and half-time teaching for a total of 5 courses over a two-year, six-term period (2-3 courses per year). The deadline for applications is February 12th.
