The English Department at Palm Beach Atlantic University seeks a specialist in Nineteenth-century British literature who is committed to excellence in undergraduate English programs.
Candidate will be responsible for a range of courses in literature, composition, and/or interdisciplinary humanities as part of a 4/4 teaching load. Position requires a strong commitment to teaching, to Christian faith, to scholarship, and to service.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Strong commitment to teaching and evidence of teaching excellence.
Ability to integrate Christian faith with teaching.
Evidence of a robust research agenda consistent with expectations of a program in which teaching is informed by scholarship.
Willingness to serve the department, the university, and the community.
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with students, faculty, administrators, other constituencies.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Applicants with a Ph.D. in English by the time of appointment are preferred. ABD candidates nearing completion will be considered.
