Visiting Assistant Professor of German

The Department of German and Russian Studies at the College of Charleston invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor position beginning August 16, 2024. We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated teacher-scholar with demonstrated excellence in teaching German as a foreign language and a strong commitment to equitable and inclusive teaching. Visiting appointments at the College of Charleston are made on an annual basis with the possibility of renewal based on performance and need.
 

The position is benefits-eligible and the salary is competitive. The teaching load is 4/4. Requirements for this position include a Ph.D. in the discipline by August 15, 2024 and near native proficiency in English and German.
