The Humanities Institute is a non-profit organization, founded in 2005 in USA, dedicated to free, online postgraduate education and research in all fields of the humanities. The institute maintains a large database, consisting of more than ten thousand articles written by scholars from around the world and available to all self-learners at no cost. The open access library is divided into encyclopedias, which are available at humanitiesinstitute.org/library.
The Humanities Institute hires qualified scholars to write short articles for its online library, which covers the main fields in the humanities across the globe. Each scholar selects topics from his or her specialty (in consultation with the Senior Editor) and write articles (c. 5,000 words) that describe and analyze that topic (e.g., a Japanese film, a Nigerian novel or the visual arts of Iran).
At present, we are seeking people to write articles in the field of World Cinema. The number of topics and duration of employment is open-ended, subject to quality control exercised by the Humanities Institute.
Applicants should send a CV and short letter (outlining the fields and topics they would like to cover) to Dr Stuart Blackburn (sb12@btinternet.com)
