Spanish Instructor/Spanish Language Coordinator

Louisiana State University, Department of World Languages, Literatures & Cultures in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, invites applications for a Spanish Language Coordinator at the rank of Instructor to begin August 2024. This is a non-tenure track position.

Job Responsibilities: Teach beginning and intermediate language classes; supervise and train graduate teaching assistants.

Required Qualifications: Master's or equivalent degree in Spanish or related area; expertise in language pedagogy; fluency in Spanish; strong commitment to teaching.

Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in Applied Linguistics or Second Language Acquisition; language coordination experience.

***Potential opportunity to assume duties that are separate from the primary job responsibilities of Instruction which entails coordination of lower-level Spanish courses. This may be awarded through additional compensation.***
