Detailed Position Information
The English Department at The University of Alabama invites applications for a renewable full-time instructor position. The appointment is non-tenure-earning and is a one-year term with the possibility of renewal based upon satisfactory performance review, staffing needs, and funding. Minimum qualifications: MA in English or MFA in English; experience in teaching composition.
Preferred qualifications: Ph.D. in English; experience in teaching literature surveys, technical writing, professional writing, creative writing, and/or advanced composition. Prior to hiring, the final candidate(s) will be required to successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation.
Position begins August 16, 2024.
