Visiting Assistant Professor of French

The Department of French, Francophone, and Italian Studies at the College of Charleston invites applications for two  three-year Visiting Assistant Professor positions in French beginning August 16, 2024. We are seeking two dynamic and dedicated teacher-scholars with demonstrated excellence in teaching French as a foreign language and a strong commitment to equitable and inclusive teaching.

A Ph.D. in French is required at time of appointment. A.B.D. candidates in French, with an expected completion by August 15, 2024, will be considered. Near native proficiency in French and English is required along with teaching experience in lower-level French language classes. The teaching load will be four courses per semester. The position is benefits-eligible, and the salary is competitive.
