Job Summary:
Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish for the 2024-2025 academic year. Minimum of ABD required for this entry-level position, PhD preferred. We seek candidates with an expertise in the literature and cultures of Spain. Teaching responsibilities for the academic year is six classes, including classes on Spanish language and Spanish literature or cultures for majors and minors. Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to teaching language, literature and cultures, and must have native or near-native fluency in Spanish. Sustained residential experience in a Spanish-speaking country is preferred.
Three confidential letters of recommendation will be requested after submission of the application. Cover letter should reflect on the candidate's qualifications, experience and commitment to diversity and inclusion.
