FRENCH, WESTMINSTER COLLEGE. Lecturer of French position to begin Fall 2020. The Westminster College Department of Modern Languages seeks a broadly trained faculty member in French Language and Culture with preference given to candidates who are able to teach an additional language.  

Applicants must demonstrate excellence in teaching and the ability to work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment. A commitment to undergraduate teaching and liberal arts education is essential.

Applicants should have near-native proficiency in French and an MA or PhD in French and/or Francophone Studies. The normal teaching load is four courses per semester over a two-semester calendar. Responsibilities include teaching courses in French language, literature and culture, and would ideally include service-level courses in an additional language or introductory linguistics or comparative literature courses.
