Our spoken English courses seek to develop and improve general spoken English skills (pronunciation, stress, intonation, and rhythm), overall comprehensibility, and interaction skills for international teaching assistants. Our English for International Students composition courses are designed to improve the international students’ grammar, research, and writing skills in formal academic English.

Additional Qualifications Desired: prior experience teaching ESL in higher education; ITA (international teaching assistant) training; and familiarity with the ACTFL OPI (oral proficiency interview) technique.

Special Instructions: Please attach CV/resume, cover letter, and the names of three professional references. A copy of your transcripts(s) may be attached to your application (if available). For any questions or concerns regarding the status of your application or salary ranges, please contact Richard Landry, Assistant to the Chair, at rland26@lsu.edu.
