Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish

Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish (4-4 load) for a remote sabbatical replacement for the academic year 2024-2025 (Aug 19, 2024 - May 13, 2025). The selected candidate will teach the following courses both semesters: SPAN 316 (Grammar for Non-Native Speakers of Spanish), SPAN 340 (Introduction to Spanish Linguistics), and two sections of LING 2110G (Introduction to the Study of Language and Linguistics), or as needed. All courses will be taught online, and experience teaching online is required, as is native-like fluency in both English and Spanish. The successful applicant will have a broad knowledge of both Spanish Linguistics and General Linguistics. Aside from teaching, the Visiting Professor will also serve on MA committees, grade MA exams, and take part in departmental responsibilities. ABD required; PhD preferred.
