The Department of Spanish and Portuguese invites applications for two full-time, one-year appointments (non-tenure track) as a Lecturer to teach all levels of Spanish language in an undergraduate program committed to dynamic language instruction. Start date is August 15, 2024. Possibility of annual renewal for up to an additional two years, contingent upon satisfactory performance and approval of the Dean. Teaching load is 6 courses per year of elementary through advanced language and culture courses. Required qualifications: Master’s degree required, PhD preferred. Native or near-native linguistic ability in both Spanish and English. Excellent teaching credentials, with at least two years’ experience teaching languages and culture-based courses at the university level using recent classroom technologies. Experience coordinating a multi-sectioned language/culture course at the university level is desirable.
