Description: The Department of English at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette invites applications for a tenure-track Advanced Assistant/Associate Professor in Rhetoric and Composition, who will direct the First-Year Writing Program. Experience working in a Writing Program is required; experience directing a Writing Program is preferred. The standard teaching load for tenure-track faculty is 2/2; this position carries a teaching load of 1/1 because of its administrative duties. Candidates are expected to train graduate instructors, oversee the First-Year Writing Program, conduct assessment, teach undergraduate/graduate courses, and conduct research in a relevant area of Rhetoric and Composition.
Qualifications: PhD in Rhetoric and Composition, experience with Writing Program administration and instruction.
